Between 10 and  August, the Rákóczi Association is organizing a Mother Tongue Camp for 150 junior school children from Felvidék at the Rákóczi Camp and Events Centre in Sátoraljaújhely. Parallel to the event, the Carpathian Basin Yachting Camp began at Lake Orfű in close cooleration with the Hungarian Yachting Association.

The Mother Tongue Camp welcomes junior school children primarily from scattered Hungarian communities ranging from Pozsony to Nagykapos with the aim of developing their knowledge of the Hungarian language and culture, building interpersonal relations and gaining life-long experiences, while enjoying a light-hearted and pleasant atmosphere. The event's schedule includes cultural programmes, activities aimed at fostering the mother tongue and traditions, as well as sport and excursions.

This summer, the Rákóczi Association organized six Carpathian Basin Yachting Camps in cooperation with the Hungarian Yachting Association.  Of these, only the camp held at Nyékládháza in late June and the upcoming event at Orfű could welcome participants from Felvidék. On 11 August, a visit to the camp will be paid by Lajos Kollár, Chairman of the Hungarian Yachting Association, and prime ministerial commissioner Katalin Szili.

To those unfortunately unable to visit Hungary due to the pandemic situation - from Subcarpathia, Transylvania, Voivodina and diaspora communities -, the Rákóczi Association pledges to make up for postponed camps at least next summer,
